I am the Commercial Manager for the sole electricity company on the island of Dominica in the Caribbean and DOMLEC has been using prepaid since Oct 2003; currently about 40% of out customers have prepaid and there are over 100 vending locations on the island including online and electronic payment transfers from the National Credit Unit to DOMLEC. Our customers receive text and emails for lower remaining credit, pending disconnections and payment receipts. We offer an online account and 24 hour customer supply, but most of all, we do not disconnect on weekends and public holidays. Our customers just love Prepaid!!!
