Consumer Managed Account Software

Prepayment allows the consumer to take control of their electricity costs. The consumer decides when to purchase power, with the UtiliFlex system providing information on usage and account balance. By providing multiple options for where and how to buy, the consumer has more flexibility to manage their costs. The consumer takes responsibility for maintaining their balance and, if disconnected, has the ability to reconnect their electric service by simply making a payment.

Arrears Recovery

UtiliFlex includes an arrears recovery module. A percentage of every purchase goes toward any past balance. It also provides a method for dealing with ongoing monthly fixed and other charges.

Metering & CIS Interfaces

Our prepayment system is designed to use the utility's existing infrastructure. Any AMI or STS metering platform can be utilized. UtiliFlex also works within the existing billing process by interfacing with the legacy customer information system.

Integrative Voice Response (IVR)

UtiliFlex includes an integrated voice response system. The consumer can elect to receive automated phone calls alerting them to low balance conditions and pending disconnections. Consumers can also dial in to get account balance information and make payments.

Text Messaging (SMS)

Consumers can use the SMS systems in two ways. They can elect to receive text message notifications from the utility concerning low balances, pending disconnections and purchase receipts. Additionally, the consumer can request balance information and redeem scratch cards.

Customer Web Portal

Consumers can access account information through a secure web portal. Functions include the ability to check balances, purchase power, set alert notifications, view usage and purchase history.

Kiosk Payment Stations

Secure kiosks allow consumers to purchase power at convenient locations with extended hours of operations. These devices can take cash and credit card transactions, and the third-party merchants, such as convenience and grocery stores, appreciate the increased customer traffic to their locations.

Point-of-Sale Devices

In addition to free-standing kiosks, third-party merchants can utilize point-of-sale devices to accept payments from customers. Easy-to-use touch-screen devices make transactions simple and secure.

Scratch Cards

Utilities can elect to offer scratch cards as a method of making a purchase. These cards can be resold by third-party merchants and can be distributed by charitable organizations.

Google PowerMeter

UtiliFlex supports Google Power Meter, a powerful feedback tool for consumers to monitor power usage and cost. Consumers can view usage information on their Google homepage without having to log on to the utility's website.
